What an amazing night!

Went down to Truckee last night and had one of the most random, yet amazing nights I have had in a while. The night started with Darragh and I rocking out to Hillary Duff in the car.

We played 'Let The Rain Fall Down' on repeat all the way to Truckee without telling Longy we were doing it. He didnt even notice. Dude has a secret love for her.

Roddy, you will love this. The bar had a shotski. We didnt use it, but I did use about 80,000 of their Pabst Blue Ribbons (PBR's). For those that dont know, PBR is like America's Tooheys Blue.

The Shotski -

The bar had a wall where you can leave messages, we put this up for Darragh.

They also had a whiteboard in the toilet and texta's. This was put up -

Folowed by this -

The bar had a prom themed night coming up. So I ended up in a dress somehow?

After that we piled into a cab with some newfound Aussie friends to their house in Kings Beach. Note the giant subwoofer in the cab.

Longy was a bit worse for wear after the ride.

Then we shot guns off the balcony. God bless America.

Darragh and I decided we would then walk home. For those that know Tahoe, its a long way from Kings Beach to Northstar. We walked most of it before getting picked up by a mexican on a paper round. Thank you mexican man.

On the way home we also found a portaloo city.

Too hungover to snowboard today. Thank god for Dr. Pepper.

Truckee and Lake Tahoe.

Went for a drive down to Truckee to pick up a few necessities today. Heres a couple of pics.

Northstar from the freeway -

A genuine totem pole. I'm led to believe it was carved by Chief Sitting Bull*.

Inappropriate fun with a bear (sorry to all my relo's that read this, Darragh made me do it) -

Also, go Torah and Holly in the halfpipe right now!

*Not at all true.

I'm on a horse.

Been shredding the last couple of days but only a few runs as the lift lines are just nuts from Presidents Day. Hit the bigger jumps for the first time today and that was fun.

Been sitting watching tv with Darragh a lot and every time this ad comes on we giggle like schoolgirls.

So funny. Heading into Truckee today to buy each other more nerf guns (probably).

Fun with plastic guns.

Just got back from the hill for the day to watch the olympic half pipe qualifiers. Guess what? NBC decides they are not as important as Days Of Our Lives. Why pay for olympic coverage and then not show it???

Last night Darragh and I got a little bored and set up a few targets around the house to shoot at with our new plastic guns. It was awesome fun, heres the targets on top of the tv (including a marshmallow with a smiley face we found behind the tv).

The big man in action -

Might duck down to a pub in Truckee and see if they are showing the Halfpipe on tv this arvo.

Fun times

Today I went back up to Northstar and rode with Longy again. Was a fun day but I had a couple of falls in the park which annoyed me a bit. My riding is going ok though. Heres pretty much the only ok pic for the day -

After that Darragh and I ventured down to Kings Beach to do some shopping. It was a good opportunity for me to check out the lake and take some photo's of Darragh doing gay poses.

So I joined in -

We also bought this to go with our nerf gun -

And I picked up this from the thrift shop as a gift for Darragh for a dollar -

We also got a free slab of beer from safeway, but thats a story for another time.

Shredding Northstar.

What can I say? This place is heaven. The resort is a free two minute bus ride from my house, my rent (for 6 weeks) and lift ticket costs less than a buller season pass, and I have some rad buddies to shred with.

Darragh is still layed up on the couch addicted to online poker, so today I headed up the hill for the first time with Pete Long. It was good to shred with a good rider as it really pushed me first day on the hill.

The first thing I had to do was pick up my season pass, and here it is. Great photo I know :)

Now those of you that have been here will know the park here is just insane. There is probably more features here, than probably the whole of every Australian resort in peak season. Heres a few snaps of the park -

Perfect pipe (one of the best I have ever hit) -

DC Box and Gondola jib (huge!) -

Big hit -

Triple stair line and big hit -

Smaller kickers and pole jam launcher -

DC jib (awesome) -

Rail lines -

Then we headed over to The Stash. A section of the hill with only natural features. ie wood and stone. Its amazing. Heres some shots of Longy and I shredding it.

Longy tail tap -

Me launching off a little wooden jib -

Longy nose press -

Me hitting the big rainbow log (check out the wood carving inset)-

I cannot wait to hit this stuff every day for the next 6 weeks, its so amazing.

Tahoe Backyard Park

Today we found a little backyard terrain park next to our house. I gotta say, its the best backyard park I have ever been in, and ITS IN MY BACKYARD!

Tank jib -

Pete Long on the tank jib -

Little bonk thing -

Wood down rail, complete with couch and picnic table -

Tank jib -

Pete and Darragh next to the two down rails -

Sexy pose from yours truly -

Darragh up to his usual antics -

Darragh got some footage but it pretty much consists of about 2 hours of me falling over and close-ups of my beard. I'm sure its quality viewing.
