Updates

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been flat out lately either playing footy or drinking too much cider. I will post some more stuff up soon.

New bike for Katie!

I have been shopping around for a bike for Katie so we can go on weekend rides and she can commute to work.

Its been tough as a) she didn't want to spend much money, b) it needed to fold in case she needs to go on the tube, c)it needs to be small so she can actually ride it. Hard to find one that fits all those categories.

I was browsing ebay and found a nice one for a 'buy it now' of 65 pounds. I offered 50 pounds (about $75 these days) and won the auction. Tonight I went all the way out to the shadows of Wembley Stadium to pick it up.

I must say, its a really cool bike and might use it bit myself!

Hopefully she now rides it!

Footy

Yesterday I played in my first footy match for the season. Played up on the wing, and got a few touches. I'm really enjoying playing footy now that I have a bit of muscle, instead of the scrawny 16 year old kid I was when I last played. Its awesome to be able to break tackles, and actually lay a good bump without bouncing off.

We won the match by about 40 points. I took a couple of photo's.

Some high quality goal posts -

The seniors, we play on a BIG ground -

Afterwards everyone headed to the pub and did what footy bogans do... drink sculling competitions.

Our team was flogged in the sculling comp.

I have a job interview tomorrow and still doing more job hunting this week. Wish me luck!

Oh, and Kimpton is here next weekend. Going to show the sights of foggy London town.

Found - 1 Memory Card

When I was in New York I found a memory card when walking through Central Park. I totally forgot I had until I found it today. At the time I thought I would go through the photo's and try and return it to its owner, but there is no clues as to who's it is on there.

Some of the photo's are pretty funny. If this is you, I have your memory card!

The National @ Royal Albert Hall

Last night I went here -

I saw the band The National and it was amazing. The played pretty much a perfect set list. I only took a couple of photos as they are funny about camera's in there so excuse the epic crapness of the photo's. I was really close to the band too.

Today I went and got a haircut. Its only the second one I have had since high school. The last one was on the Gold Coast when Marisa and Katie made me go to a hair training college. I ended up just getting my usual buzz cut.

I'm pretty happy with this one. Combine this with my 12kg loss of beer gut and I look good!

Polish food and Temper Trapping

The other night I went to another Temper Trap show with Katie. Beforehand we grabbed the most amazing polish meal. We had - borsch, potato pancakes, roast duck, and a stack of pierogi's, and some salads. Was so good.

After dinner we went across to the o2 Shephards Bush Empire to check out the show. As I said in my previous post, Temper Trap are killing it.

Blasko -

Went to the show after-party and had a few drinks and got home about 3am. A fun night.

I also just remembered I took this photo of this weirdo in the park opposite our flat. He had a whole living setting in the park, complete with ironing board. London is a strange place.
